|The Wings, Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong|
As one of the largest transit-oriented developments (TODs) in the City and built on top of a underground railway station, the Wings was conceived as a self-contained comprehensive development comprising residential, hotel, serviced apartment, retail, entertainment, infrastructure and public realm elements. The orientation and disposition of the development were driven by the environmental objectives to optimise accessibility, connectivity and human comfort through thoughtful passive building design. The completed project helps create a major urban hub in Tseung Kwan O, strengthening the pedestrian network by providing efficient links to the adjoining MTR station, public transport interchange, adjoining developments and future district open space.
