|Scottish Crime Campus|
This unique project brings together, for the first time, five key law enforcement agencies to promote collaboration and innovation in solving incidents of serious crime. It provides accommodation for over 12,000 staff together with forensic laboratories and extensive support facilities to promote cross agency working. The four storey structure forms interconnected wings of flexible floor plates connected by a multi level central atrium designed to promote interaction and information exchange. DNA and chromosome biology emerged as strong themes, informing the connectedness of the plan and rhythm of the powerful vertical concrete envelope.
